Vintage Radio

I also have an Interest in Vintage Radios. This is in interesting contrast to my other interests in current technology.

Tranceivers

ZC1 Mark II

I have A ZC1 Mark 2 In working condition which I have used on an NZART nostelga contest.
The ZC1 is an all Valve Millatary set that only supports AM and CW. It is powered off 12VDC and has an internal vibrator supply to generate the high voltages required for the valves.
Article on History of the ZC1 - by Chris Underwood

KW2000A

This is an all Valve Amateur HF Tranceiver from the Late 60's a KW2000A. It is in working condition but aging has taken its toll on it causing its output power to be significantly down on the higher bands. This was even the case when the final valves were replaced.
This set was my first HF Tranciever. I had many contacts on it with contacts around the world especially on 15m meters when I had my novice lisence.

Receivers

I have also got several vintage receivers but they are in storage at the moment. One of these days i will get hold of a digital camara and take some photos for the web.
